Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their sophomore album, Vampire Weekend expands their preppy afro-pop sound with electronic textures and samples. 'Contra' is sunny, melodic, and hyper-literate, dealing with themes of class and conflict in California. It proved the band was here to stay, debuting at number one.
