Vampire Weekend

Vampire Weekend is an American rock band formed in New York City. The band's sound, which emerged with their 2008 debut 'Vampire Weekend', is a distinctive fusion of indie-pop, chamber music, and Afropop rhythms, a style they once dubbed "Upper West Side Soweto". Initially signed to #XL Recordings#, their first three albums, including the chart-topping 'Contra' and Grammy-winning 'Modern Vampires of the City', established them as critical and commercial darlings. Now with #Columbia Records#, the band, led by Ezra Koenig's literate songwriting, has continued to evolve, exploring broader sonic palettes on albums like 'Father of the Bride' and 'Only God Was Above Us', securing their place in the modern indie canon.
