Album Notes & Community Reviews
Serving as the final album to feature the legendary classic-era lineup before major personnel changes, 'World Record' captures Van der Graaf Generator stretching into remarkably lengthy, heavily improvised epics. The record balances incredibly complex, fiercely technical progressive interplay with Peter Hammill's deeply philosophical, wonderfully poetic reflections on lonely, cosmic ambition.
