Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally released as an extremely limited vinyl accompanying a book of portrait photography by Gian Paolo Barbieri, this is one of Vangelis's most elusive works. 'Silent Portraits' consists of two long-form, deeply meditative ambient compositions utilizing warm, sweeping synthesizer textures. The music prioritizes peaceful, soothing minimalism, standing apart from his grander, more bombastic film scores.
