Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating without their iconic frontman Cronos, the British extreme metal pioneers delivered a surprisingly competent and aggressive effort featuring Demolition Man on vocals. 'The Waste Lands' leans heavily into complex thrash and speed metal structures, shedding much of their earlier, sloppy black metal aesthetic for heightened technicality. Despite its quality, the album suffered commercially and the band was subsequently dropped by their label, leading to a temporary hiatus.
