Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded shortly before his relocation to the United States, the brilliant British multi-instrumentalist fronts a large ensemble playing ambitious, highly sophisticated arrangements. The music bridges the elegant, structured approach of West Coast jazz with the muscularity of an authentic big band, featuring his superb vibraphone and piano work. It established his reputation internationally as a major jazz talent.
