Album Notes & Community Reviews
Representing their second collaborative album on the Swedish experimental label F枚nstret, 'Astral Twins' is a highly meditative and spektral instrumental statement from guitarist Fredrik Rasten and double bassist Vilhelm Bromander. The record consists of two twin compositions that explore the microtonal space between just intonation and the psychoactive slippages of performance. By weaving Scandinavian folk traditions with minimalistic, continuous drone loops, the acoustic instruments merge to map a resonant, fragile, and highly spatial physical geography.
