Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by drummer and vocalist Peter Prescott immediately following the dissolution of Mission of Burma, this debut album delivers a wildly energetic strain of early post-hardcore. 'The Bright Orange Years' is defined by a frantic, driving rhythm section, chaotic vocal interplay, and a fiercely sarcastic sense of humor. The record was a vital building block in the development of the highly influential 1980s Boston underground rock scene.
