Biography
Volcano Suns were a Boston alternative rock band formed in 1984 by former *Mission of Burma* drummer Peter Prescott, the only member present throughout. Their six albums, from 'The Bright Orange Years' (1985) and 'All-Night Lotus Party' (1986) to 'Thing of Beauty' (1989) and 'Career in Rock' (1991), mixed noise, melody and humour. The band split in 1991, with a brief live reunion in 2005.
