Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by its colossal Michael McDonald-sampling title track, Warren G's debut is a definitive masterpiece of West Coast hip-hop. The album bypasses the aggressive menace typical of its contemporaries, opting instead for exceptionally smooth, melodic production that perfectly captures the sun-drenched, laid-back atmosphere of Southern California's G-Funk era.
