Album Notes & Community Reviews

Guided by the slick production aesthetics of Chet Atkins, 'Leavin' Town' presents a polished iteration of Waylon Jennings during his early tenure at RCA Victor. The instrumentation leans heavily on the studio refinement of the Nashville Sound, smoothing over the singer's innate outlaw grit to appeal to the commercial country market.
