Album Notes & Community Reviews

White Zombie's debut full-length is a world away from the groove metal sound that would make them famous. 'Soul-Crusher' is a raw, chaotic, and dissonant masterpiece of 80s noise rock and pigfuck, emerging from the same New York No Wave scene as bands like Sonic Youth. It's a dark, abrasive, and rhythmically complex album that showcases the band at their most primal and artistically challenging.
