Album Notes & Community Reviews

Named after Richard von Krafft-Ebing's foundational psychiatric study, this harrowing record is a defining manifesto of the power electronics subgenre. William Bennett and his collaborators weaponized extreme high-frequency synthesizer squeals and aggressively provocative, spoken-word descriptions of horrific sexual violence to confront and assault the listener. It is universally recognized as one of the most conceptually transgressive and sonically punishing releases of the 1980s.
