Album Notes & Community Reviews

Solidifying their reputation as purveyors of blues-drenched, incredibly sexualized hard rock, David Coverdale's band delivered a raucous sophomore effort. The controversial, hyper-sexual cover art drew intense fire from the music press, overshadowing the deeply groove-oriented slide guitar work of Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody. The record effectively laid the sleazy, commercial groundwork that would later catapult them to global stadium supremacy.
