Album Notes & Community Reviews

A collaboration between three mainstays of Chicago's vibrant experimental music scene, 'BODY SOUND' brings together Whitney Johnson (viola), Lia Kohl (cello), and Macie Stewart (violin, vocals). The album is an exploration of texture, tone, and improvisation, using their string instruments to create a rich and evolving ambient soundscape. The music is patient and deeply atmospheric, moving between moments of delicate beauty and dissonant tension. It's a testament to the power of collective, intuitive music-making.
