Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Chicago-based indie-folk duo, consisting of Max Kakacek and Julien Ehrlich, polishes the breezy, 1970s-inspired soft rock of their breakout debut. Recorded in part at Justin Vernon's April Base studio, the album relies on pristine falsetto harmonies, warm brass sections, and gentle acoustic strumming. The lyricism focuses on the anxieties of maintaining long-term relationships and the weariness of endless touring.
