Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released as a surprise free download, 'Star Wars' is a concise and abrasive art-rock effort that contrasts dense layers of fuzzed-out guitars and glam-rock influences with Jeff Tweedy's often subdued vocals. The album's loose, impulsive production balances experimental, deconstructed noise against the band's underlying melodic sensibilities. Its short, punchy song structures mark a departure into a more immediate and raw sound for the group.
