Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stripping his production down to the absolute bare essentials, the country music icon recorded an incredibly intimate, deeply melancholic collection of ballads. Accompanied solely by a piano, a fiddle, and his legendary acoustic guitar 'Trigger', Nelson's weary, heavily seasoned voice takes complete center stage. The profoundly sparse, highly personal recording stands as a quiet, late-career masterpiece of Americana minimalism.
