Biography
Willie Nelson is a seminal American artist, celebrated for his pivotal role in the "outlaw country" movement of the 1970s. After a successful but creatively stifling career as a Nashville songwriter, penning hits like 'Crazy' for *Patsy Cline*, he returned to Texas and redefined his sound. Signing with #Atlantic Records#, he released the acclaimed 'Shotgun Willie' before moving to #Columbia Records# and achieving massive success with the concept album 'Red Headed Stranger' and the standards collection 'Stardust'. A prolific songwriter, distinctive vocalist, and virtuosic guitarist known for his iconic guitar, Trigger, Nelson's influence is vast, also marked by his work with the supergroup *The Highwaymen* and his founding of Farm Aid.
