As the Stars

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Australian solo project of multi-instrumentalist 'D' reaches its emotional zenith, seamlessly fusing agonizing black metal shrieks with soaring, deeply melodic post-rock crescendos. The incredibly dense, reverb-drenched guitar playing creates an atmosphere of profound, bittersweet longing rather than typical metallic aggression. It is widely revered as a highly influential milestone within the modern blackgaze movement.
