For their eighth studio album, the Brooklyn psych-folk mainstays finally abandoned their lo-fi, home-recording aesthetics to work in a fully professional recording studio. The sonic upgrade allowed Jeremy Earl's gorgeous falsetto and the band's bright, pastoral instrumentation to shine with unprecedented clarity.
