Album Notes & Community Reviews

David Eugene Edwards continues to push his brooding, apocalyptic Americana project into increasingly heavy, distorted territories. Recorded at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio studio, the album bathes his intense, spiritually charged lyricism and galloping Americana rhythms in walls of post-punk and psychedelic guitar noise. It stands as a ferocious, remarkably intense sermon of gothic country rock.
