13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto With Bison Horn Grips

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stemming from the concept of a switchblade as a symbol for "interesting uselessness," '13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto With Bison Horn Grips' explores themes of paradoxical violence and the destruction of prior aesthetics. The album features a dense, layered sound that merges industrial pop, heavy synth glam, and scorching guitar riffs with Jamie Stewart's wide-ranging vocals, from hushed whispers to screams. Produced by Angela Seo and mixed by John Congleton, the arrangements juxtapose distorted drum loops and synthesizers against contributions from a string quartet and percussionist David Kendrick, creating a work that is simultaneously chaotic, accessible, and emotionally confrontational.
