Album Notes & Community Reviews
Attempting to rein in their most expansive tendencies for shorter, punchier song structures, Yes delivered a highly eclectic and somewhat controversial entry into their 70s catalog. 'Tormato' retains the band's profoundly complex musicianship while incorporating notably optimistic, brightly uplifting melodies and an increased reliance on Rick Wakeman's buzzing synthesizers.
