Album Notes & Community Reviews

Venturing completely away from the heavily Hollywood-ized orchestrations of her earlier commercial successes, the legendary Peruvian vocalist embraces a slightly more authentic, percussion-driven Latin aesthetic. 'Fuego del Ande' surrounds her astonishing, multi-octave vocal range with robust acoustic guitars and driving Andean folk rhythms. While still retaining a distinct mid-century exoticism, the vibrant production leans significantly closer to her genuine folkloric roots.
