Bae

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating as a massive foundational release for the internet-born future funk movement, the Oregon producer delivers an incredibly bright, hyperactive debut. 'Bae' relies heavily on aggressively compressed, heavily repetitive loops of vintage 1980s Japanese city pop and American disco, backed by massive, four-on-the-floor drum samples. The resulting album is a wonderfully happy, wildly energetic, and deeply nostalgic summer party record.
