Album Notes & Community Reviews

Integrating unconventional Middle Eastern and Asian instrumentation like the argol alongside his robust tenor saxophone, the multi-instrumentalist delivers a deeply atmospheric, highly innovative hard bop session. The complex, slightly exotic harmonic structures provide a mesmerizing, highly textured backdrop for the exceptionally lyrical improvisations. The visionary project heavily anticipated the expansive world-fusion and spiritual jazz movements of the following decade.
