Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released while the Houston emcee was briefly incarcerated, 'Let the Truth Be Told' stands as a profoundly depressive and isolated masterwork of Southern hip hop. Eschewing the triumphant swagger typical of the era's Texas rap scene, Z-Ro utilizes his distinctive, melodic baritone to deliver deeply introspective verses plagued by paranoia, grief, and institutional survival.
