Album Notes & Community Reviews
Anchored by a deeply ingrained swing feel, the tenor saxophonist effortlessly bridges the stylistic divide between Lester Young's relaxed phrasing and modern bop complexities. The session underscores his reputation as an endlessly inventive improviser who prioritized melodic warmth over aggressive technical display.
