Album Notes & Community Reviews
A profoundly moving entry in the post-war European folk revival, this album sees the renowned German duo meticulously interpreting traditional Yiddish songs. The acoustic arrangements are stark and emotionally devastating, paying deeply respectful homage to a culture nearly eradicated from the continent. The recording played a massive role in reintroducing Yiddish musical heritage to a younger generation of German listeners.
