Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-produced by Rick Rubin, 'La Futura' arrived after a nine-year studio hiatus, stripping away the synthesized gloss of the Texas trio's commercial peak. The production emphasizes a remarkably heavy, distorted guitar tone, firmly grounding the band back in their gritty, blues-rock foundations. The record notably features a raw cover of a hip-hop track, reflecting a willingness to reinterpret modern grooves through their trademark swampy filter.
