Biography
The 5uu's were an American avant-rock group founded in Los Angeles in 1984 by drummer-composer Dave Kerman. A leading American answer to the European Rock in Opposition movement, they debuted with 'Bel Marduk & Tiamat' (1986), collaborated with *Motor Totemist Guild* on 'Elements' (1988) and merged with that band into *U Totem*. Reformed in 1994 with Sanjay Kumar and Bob Drake, they made 'Hunger's Teeth' and 'Crisis in Clay', then continued as Dave Kerman/5uu's for 'Regarding Purgatories' (2000) and 'Abandonship' (2002), returning in 2022 with 'The Quiet in Your Bones'.
