A Winged Victory for the Sullen
- Type: Classical Composer
Biography
A Winged Victory for the Sullen is the duo of *Stars of the Lid*'s Adam Wiltzie and composer Dustin O'Halloran. Their debut album (2011) on #Erased Tapes#, the ballet score 'Atomos' (2014) and 'The Undivided Five' (2019) define a slow, mournful meeting of ambient drone and modern classical music. Wiltzie and O'Halloran record in churches, concert halls and studios across Europe, and their patient, grief-tinged music has become a byword for modern ambient composition.
