Adam Clayton

Adam Clayton is the English-born Irish bassist for the world-renowned rock band U2. A founding member since the group formed in Dublin in 1976, his distinctive, melodic bass style is a core component of the band's anthemic sound. Noted for his driving rhythms on iconic songs like "New Year's Day" and "With or Without You," Clayton's playing provides the harmonic foundation for the band's expansive sonic landscapes across seminal albums like 'The Joshua Tree' and 'Achtung Baby'. Beyond U2, he collaborated with bandmate *Larry Mullen Jr.* on the theme for the 1996 film 'Mission: Impossible' and has worked with artists like *Robbie Robertson* and *Daniel Lanois*.
