Akusmi

Biography

Akusmi is the ensemble project of London-based French composer Pascal Bideau, performing his own works where minimalism, contemporary jazz and electronics meet. The debut album 'Fleeting Future' (2022) on #Tonal Union# layers gamelan-like patterns and modal improvisation, and the group has toured the music widely as a live, trance-like performance. Bideau writes every part himself, and the group's concerts stretch the compositions into open, meditative forms.
