Biography
Alan Hull was a Newcastle singer-songwriter, founder and main songwriter of *Lindisfarne*. His warm, humane songs, from 'Lady Eleanor' and 'Meet Me on the Corner' to 'Fog on the Tyne', defined the Tyneside folk-rock band's sound and made him one of British folk rock's most beloved writers. His solo albums 'Pipedream' and 'Squire' ran alongside the band's career until his sudden death in Newcastle in 1995.
