Biography

Lindisfarne are a folk rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne, formed in 1968 and named after the island off the Northumberland coast. Led by songwriter Alan Hull, the classic five-piece made 'Fog on the Tyne' (1971) one of the best-selling British albums of its era, and the reunited band scored again with 'Run for Home' in 1978. A Rod Clements-led version of the group continues to perform.
