Biography
Alternative TV is a London punk and post-punk band formed in 1977 by Mark Perry, editor of the fanzine #Sniffin' Glue#. The debut 'The Image Has Cracked' set short punk attacks against long improvisations, and 'Vibing Up the Senile Man (Part One)' pushed into outright avant-garde experiment. Perry, the only constant member across every line-up, has revived the band in every decade since, through the pop of 'Strange Kicks' to later albums such as 'Opposing Forces' and 'Direct Action'.
