Biography
Anti Cimex, formed in Gothenburg in 1981, was a pioneering Swedish D-beat and crust punk band. Its early EPs 'Raped Ass' and 'Victims of a Bomb Raid' helped define Scandinavian hardcore, and after re-forming in 1990 the band issued its only studio albums, 'Absolut Country of Sweden' and 'Scandinavian Jawbreaker', before splitting in 1993. Their records remain touchstones for D-beat bands worldwide, decades after the group itself finally called it a day.
