Biography
Armored Saint is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1982. A key fixture in the 1980s L.A. metal scene, they stood apart from the glam movement with a more traditional, powerful sound. The classic lineup featured John Bush, Joey Vera, brothers Phil and Gonzo Sandoval, and the late Dave Prichard. After early albums on #Chrysalis Records# like 'March of the Saint', the band hit a creative peak with 'Symbol of Salvation' on #Metal Blade Records#, a record shaped by Prichard's tragic death from leukemia. The band went on hiatus when Bush joined *Anthrax* in 1992 but reunited in 1999 and has continued to release acclaimed albums and tour globally.
