Biography
Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup (1905 to 1974) was a Mississippi Delta blues guitarist and songwriter whose 1940s records for #Bluebird# helped lay the groundwork for rock and roll. His songs 'That's All Right', 'My Baby Left Me' and 'So Glad You're Mine' were all recorded by *Elvis Presley*, but Crudup was denied the royalties they earned and spent much of his later life in poverty as a farm labourer in Virginia, despite a blues revival comeback in his final years.
