Atsuko Chiba

Atsuko Chiba

Atsuko Chiba is a Montreal-based experimental rock quintet known for their genre-defying sound. Named after the protagonist of the film *Paprika*, the band blends post-rock, progressive rock, and krautrock into a cohesive, hypnotic sonic tapestry. Since their formation, they have self-produced their albums, including 'Jinn', 'Trace', and 'Water, It Feels Like It's Growing', at their home studio. Their live performances are immersive audiovisual experiences, combining their music with video and light installations triggered in real-time. The band, which signed with #Mothland# records, consistently subverts expectations with offbeat songwriting and a sprawling, psychedelic alloy of sounds that has drawn comparisons to artists like *The Mars Volta* and *Mogwai*.
