Biography
Babe Ruth is a British progressive rock band from Hatfield, United Kingdom, formed in 1970 around guitarist Alan Shacklock and singer Jenny Haan. With Dave Hewitt on bass and Dave Punshon on keyboards, the group recorded for #Harvest#, beginning with 'First Base' in 1972, a soul edged progressive record noted for 'Wells Fargo' and the Morricone quoting 'The Mexican'. The line-up with drummer Ed Spevock and keyboard player Chris Holmes made 'Amar Caballero' and 'Babe Ruth'. The band split after Shacklock's 1975 departure, then reunited with its original core in 2005, releasing 'Qu茅 Pasa' in 2009.
