Biography
Harlem rapper Lamont Coleman, whose dense wordplay and punchline craft made him one of the most admired lyricists of 1990s New York hip hop. A founding member of *Children of the Corn* and of the *Diggin' in the Crates Crew*, he released one lifetime album, 'Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous' (1995) on #Columbia Records#. Murdered in 1999 at 24, he was mid-career: the posthumous 'The Big Picture' (2000) confirmed the stature his peers had long claimed for him.
