Streams of Thought, Vol. 1

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced entirely by 9th Wonder and his Soul Council collective, this long-awaited solo endeavor finds The Roots' legendary frontman delivering a masterclass in breathless lyrical stamina. The vintage, sample-heavy boom-bap production serves as an uncompromising canvas for his dense multisyllabic rhymes and sharp socio-political commentary. The brief runtime packs a staggering amount of technical proficiency, reasserting his status as an all-time rap technician.
