Bola

Biography

Bola is Darrell Fitton, an English electronic musician from the Manchester scene who records for the #Skam# label. After assisting *Autechre* and appearing on #Warp Records#' 'Artificial Intelligence II' in 1994, he debuted as Bola in 1995 and released the album 'Soup' in 1998. Albums such as 'Fyuti', 'Gnayse', 'Kroungrine' and 'D.E.G.' combine melodic techno and ambient warmth with harsh synth textures and distortion, making Bola a cult figure in British IDM despite a sparse release schedule and rare live appearances.
