Biography
Bruce Haack was a Canadian electronic music pioneer from Alberta who built his own instruments and anticipated synth-pop, techno and hip-hop from the music industry's margins. With Esther Nelson's #Dimension 5# label he made a series of strange, joyful children's albums, while his 1970 album 'The Electric Lucifer' stands as a psychedelic electronic landmark. Rediscovered and widely reissued after his death in 1988, Haack is now recognised as one of electronic music's great originals.
