Camberwell Now were a London avant prog trio formed in 1982 by *This Heat* drummer Charles Hayward, bassist Trefor Goronwy and tape operator Stephen Rickard, whose switchboard of loops and field recordings replaced the guitar. After the 'Meridian' EP (1983), they released their only studio album, 'The Ghost Trade' (1986), for #Recommended Records#, and the 'Greenfingers' EP (1987) before splitting. Their work was collected on 'All's Well' (1992).
