Biography
English doom metal band from Coventry, formed in 1989 by former *Napalm Death* singer Lee Dorrian with Garry Jennings and Mark Griffiths. Cathedral's debut 'Forest of Equilibrium' (1991) defined extreme doom, and the stable lineup of Dorrian, Jennings, Leo Smee and Brian Dixon later broadened the sound with psychedelia and groove. The band released ten studio albums and disbanded after 'The Last Spire' in 2013.
