CAVS

Michael Cavanagh, known professionally as CAVS, is the powerhouse drummer for the wildly prolific Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Growing up in Deniliquin, New South Wales, he joined future bandmates in the group *The Houses* before becoming a core member of King Gizzard. His versatile and complex drumming is a key component of the band's signature genre-bending sound. As a solo artist, Cavanagh explores rhythm in its purest form, releasing instrumental percussion albums under the CAVS moniker. His debut solo album, 'CAVS', was released in 2021 on #PHC Films#, followed by 'Sojourn' in 2026, showcasing his abilities as a composer and bandleader in his own right.
